Mouvement International des
Nouveaux Grands Vins de Terroirs
New times,
new great wines!!
Created on 6 December 2023, the Mouvement International des Nouveaux Grands Vins de Terroirs (MINGVT) is the culmination of several years of reflection and tasting, starting in Beaujolais in 2019 and continuing in many other French vineyards (Bordeaux, Cahors, Faugères, Anjou-Saumur, Côtes-du-Rhône, Pic Saint-Loup etc).
Its ambition: to re-enchant the world of fine wines, which are currently selling at €7.5-15 ex-VAT per bottle to professional retailers in France and abroad.
Its aim: to develop and promote a fully-fledged range of New Grands Vins de Terroirs (NGVT), which are fruity AND complex, drinkable AND ageable, with no unacceptable faults,
Its strategy: to target the New Great Lovers of Terroir Wines (NGAVT), hedonists aged between 35 and 50 who, after having been thirsty wine drinkers, are now entering the world of terroir wines.
Its values: to promote wines that are full of humanity, natural and convivial.
In short, it’s time for NGVT!
Grégory Large*, président du MINGVT
« Let's re-enchant the universe of great terroir wines ! ».
« In the world of great wines, NGVT are the new black !
NGVT have a dual heritage: that of thirst-quenching wines, by being fruity and drinkable, but also that of terroir wines, by being complex and ageable. In this sense, they reconcile the rabelaisians and gourmets.
NGVT renew the emotional and relational dimension traditionally associated with the status of great terroir wines. Neither boring, distant nor vertical, they are in tune with the new wine-lovers, who are looking for wines that are more human, authentic, ethical and epic than ever.
In short, through their style and their storytelling, NGVT are the most contemporary of great wines ».
